An incremental investment in security awareness training results in a median reduction in the annualised risk of phishing attacks of about 50%, and a median annual return on investment of about 5 times.

The speed with which organisations find security breaches is faster for those who provide higher levels of training. The best at training found 52 percent of security breaches in less than 24 hours, compared with only 32 percent for the rest. How long it takes to resolve a security breach is also an aspect of better training. For the leaders in training, 65 percent of all security breaches are fixed within 15 days.
